Apple Watch Series 8 to cost $399, available from Sept. 16
Apple Inc. announced on Wednesday the latest addition to its Apple Watch family, Series 8, which will cost $399 for the GPS model and $499 for cellular. The device can be ordered today and will become available on September 16.
According to COO Jeff Williams, Apple Watch Series 8 is more durable compared to previous models and has a temperature sensor the tech giant will use to help track women's health. Watch Series 8 will also have crash detection, the live presentation revealed. The latest model will also have a low power mode enabling the battery to last up to 36 hours, with the option available on series 4 and later models.
Apple also introduced an SE Watch model, coming at a more affordable price of $249 for GPS and $299 for cellular. At the same time, it presented Apple Watch Ultra, which has in-built cellular and is wholly designed for extreme sports, with a larger batter and wayfinder. The Ultra model will cost $799, and become available starting from September 23.
