Right-wing coalition wins Italian election - exit poll

A right-wing coalition led by Giorgia Meloni and her party Brothers of Italy has come out on top in the Italian general election, according to exit polls for Rai released on Sunday. The coalition won 41% to 45% of the vote, while the center-left alliance got between 25.5% and 29.5%, the 5Star Movement 13.5% to 17.5%, while the "third-pole" centrist coalition came in fourth at 6.5% to 8.5%.

If the exit poll results are confirmed once the votes are counted, Meloni's coalition, which also includes Matteo Salvini’s League and Silvio Berlusconi's Forza Italia, would win the majority in both the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate.
