Kirby: US needs to be less dependent on OPEC+
United States National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby stated on Wednesday that the United States needs to be less dependent on foreign oil producers and OPEC+.
Kirby's comments come after the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries' (OPEC) Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee (JMMC) agreed to suggest output cuts of 2 million barrels per day (bpd).
At 3:55 pm CET, the Brent for settlements in December climbed 0.87% to sell for $92.67 per barrel, while a minute later West Texas Intermediate (WTI) rose 0.77% to go for $87.23.
