Europe closes mostly higher after inflation updates

Major stock market indexes in Europe closed mostly higher on Friday after the figures revealed in the newest reports on inflation in countries such as Germany and France showed figures somewhat below or matching expectations. Additionally, it was unveiled that consumer confidence in the euro area advanced slightly in October. Meanwhile, the United Kingdom kept on adjusting to the most recent change in government.

The DAX closed 0.21% higher as MTU Aero Engines AG jumped by 3.90%. The CAC 40 went up by 0.45%, with Airbus SE increasing by 3.66%. On the other hand, the FTSE 100 declined by 0.45% as Natwest Group PLC plunged by 9.20%.

The euro lost 0.24% to the dollar at 5:26 pm CET to go for $0.99407. A minute later, the pound sterling grew by 0.23% to sell for $1.15886.
