Apple: China's COVID measures harming iPhone production
Apple Inc. shared in a statement that the latest restrictions in China, related to the COVID-19 epidemic, are "temporarily" obstructing the production of its iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max in the facility located in Zhengzhou.
"The facility is currently operating at significantly reduced capacity," the company stated. Apple noted that although the demand for the aforementioned models continues to stay strong, "we now expect lower iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max shipments than we previously anticipated and customers will experience longer wait times to receive their new products."
The company stressed that it is in close discussions with its supplier, as they are trying to work out ways to "return to normal production levels while ensuring the health and safety of every worker."
