TSMC plans to build another plant in Arizona - report
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited intends to build another chip factory north of Phoenix, Arizona, The Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday, citing unnamed sources briefed on the plans.
The company plans to allocate $12 billion for the plant, with the size of investment similar to that it had previously committed to for another factory in the same state, according to the report.
The new facility will reportedly focus on producing 3-nanometer semiconductors.
