GOP's McCarthy: Dems will be House minority
United States House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy claimed on Wednesday that House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats will be in the minority following the midterm congressional elections.
The new Republican majority in the lower chamber of US Congress will offer a "new direction" and get America "back on track," McCarthy said in a speech about election results.
The House GOP is ready to set the country on a path toward a "strong" economy and where the nation is "safe," the California Republican stressed.
