Twitter's CISO Lea Kissner leaves the company

Twitter Inc.'s Chief Information Security Officer Lea Kissner announced on Thursday she would leave the company following the takeover by billionaire Elon Musk and a management shuffle.

"I've made the hard decision to leave Twitter. I've had the opportunity to work with amazing people and I'm so proud of the privacy, security, and IT teams and the work we've done. I'm looking forward to figuring out what's next," Kissner shared in a Twitter post.

Kissner served as Twitter's CISO since January this year after getting promoted from the position of privacy engineering chief. Next to Kissner, several other senior management executives previously left Twitter, including former Chief Executive Parag Agrawal.

Musk completed the $44 billion acquisition of Twitter two weeks ago, announcing massive layoffs and restructuring that have affected about half of the company employees. Musk's most recent decision was rumored to be ending the remote work option at the social media giant.
