Disney hiring freeze to remain in place - CEO
The Walt Disney Co. Chief Executive Officer Bob Iger (pictured left) said Monday that the hiring freeze previously reported by CNBC will remain in place.
During his first town hall since returning to the company, Mr. Iger also recognized that Disney's approach must shift toward monetizing its streaming business rather than focusing on simply adding subscribers.
A previous report revealed at the beginning of the month had said the firm is seeking to become a "more efficient and nimble company overall" following a disappointing quarter.
