France, US tackling supply chain problems

French President Emmanuel Macron noted on Thursday, during a joint press conference with United States President Joe Biden, that Paris and Washington are working on resolving the supply chain issues.

The two countries reaffirmed their dedication to "an open and rules-based multilateral trading system," which will "continue to promote bilateral trade and investments that support supply chain resilience and our high-tech and innovative industries," the joint statement read.

Macron mentioned that he had a "very good discussion" on the Inflation Reduction Act with Biden, further explaining that France and the US will "synchronize our approach and focus on areas such as semi-conductors and hydrogen."
