Kuroda says too soon for policy review in Japan
Bank of Japan Governor Haruhiko Kuroda told the parliament it is still too soon for the Board to discuss the possibility of cutting back on stimulus and abandoning its easy monetary policy.
Kuroda explained it would be inappropriate for the central bank to raise rates until the country's inflation is sustainably within the central bank's 2% inflation target.
Consumer prices in Japan touched a 40-year high in October, rising 3.7% on a year earlier.
