German factory orders up 0.8% in October
Seasonally and price-adjusted new factory orders in Germany grew by 0.8% in October on a monthly basis, the country's Federal Statistical Office Destatis revealed in its report on Tuesday. In comparison to the same period a year prior, new orders slid 3.2%.
Month on month, domestic orders declined 1.9%, while foreign orders saw an increase of 2.5% in October. The euro area orders rose 2.6% in the reported month. Meanwhile, orders outside of the Eurozone added 2.5%.
In comparison to September, orders of consumer and intermediate goods tumbled 6.3% and 1.4% in October, respectively, while orders of capital goods gained 3.2%.
