Europe lower at open as data pours in

Major stock indexes in Europe opened the Tuesday session with slight losses amid the latest economic data releases. German factory orders grew 0.8% in October, while the United Kingdom's global construction PMI is scheduled for release later during the day.

Interest rate talks continued, as European Central Bank chief economist Philip Lane underscored that "more increases are necessary" in order for the central bank to rein in inflation. ECB will reveal its newest decision on monetary policy next week.

The DAX lost 0.26% at the opening bell, as Vonovia slid 0.97%. The CAC 40 decreased 0.28% at 9:00 am CET, with TotalEnergies tumbling 2.04% at 9:02 am CET. The FTSE 100 fell 0.19% at the open, as Mondi dropped 3.47% at 9:02 am CET.

The euro was up 0.06% against the dollar at 8:59 am CET, selling for 1.04901. The pound traded 0.19% higher versus the greenback, going for 1.22025 simultaneously.
