Gas prices in EU ten times higher - Putin
Russian President Vladimir Putin underlined during the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) Summit in Kyrgyzstan on Friday that gas prices across Europe are ten times higher than what Moscow is selling to its partners.
The Russian head of state noted that the nations belonging to the Eurasian union are expected to see economic growth, while energy consumption in the member states is projected to increase significantly in the upcoming period. According to Putin, Moscow is supplying gas to the EAEU states "more than ten times cheaper" which is to help stabilize the Union's economies.
Meanwhile, the world's largest natural gas exporter supply to China surged by about a third this year since the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine, which consequently decreased Russia's gas deliveries to the West.
