Roche Pharmaceuticals CEO leaves the company

Roche Pharmaceuticals CEO Bill Anderson (pictured) will be stepping down from his position by the end of the year, the company said in a statement on Monday.

The pharmaceutical giant stated that Anderson "has decided to pursue opportunities outside of Roche effective 31 December 2022," going on to add that his successor will be determined by March next year. In the meantime, Thomas Schinecker, Roche's head of diagnostics, will act as an ad interim CEO of the department.

In October, Roche reported that its sales in the third quarter of 2022 slid 6% year on year to arrive at 14.7 billion Swiss francs, but maintained that the demand for its non-COVID-19 medicines remained high.
