Bankman-Fried pleads not guilty to FTX fraud charges

FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried pleaded not guilty to all fraud charges against him related to the collapse of the crypto exchange and hedge fund Alameda Research.

Bankman-Fried made the plea during an appearance at a hearing at the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, where he is facing charges on eight counts of fraud and conspiracy to commit fraud. Prosecutor Danielle Sassoon stated that Bankman-Fried's defense team will be given access to hundreds of thousands of documents in evidence in the coming days and added a trial could be expected in September or October 2023.

Earlier, Bankman-Fried's associates, FTX co-founder Gary Wang and former Alameda Research CEO Caroline Ellison, pleaded guilty to the charges against them in the case.
