Saudi Arabia FM: Stability key to energy security
Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud (pictured) described on Tuesday stability in the market as the key to energy security, which is why a "strong partnership" between the Kingdom and the United States is necessary despite occasional disagreements.
Speaking at a panel during the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, the prince stressed the importance of the aforementioned factor as the international community is still relying on traditional sources as the "only" method of switching to clean energy.
Commenting on the situation in the Middle East, the minister said that Saudi Arabia has approached Iran in an attempt to start a dialogue with it and encourage it to cooperate in order for the two countries to reach joint prosperity.
