Zelensky talks Ukraine's defense needs with Danish delegation
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he held a meeting on Monday with the Danish delegation in which the two parties discussed Kiev's defense needs as well as its security and humanitarian initiatives.
"Russian terror must lose everywhere and in everything, both on the battlefield and in the absence of ruins in our country," Zelensky stressed in his nightly address that followed the meeting. He added that Ukraine and Danmark are also coordinating their actions to strengthen sanctions against Russia and that his government had asked Kopenhagen to back Kiev in calling for the removal of Russian athletes from the Paris 2024 Olympics.
During the day, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen visited the southern Ukrainian city of Mykolaiv, a city in the reconstruction of which Denmark has taken patronage over, according to Zelensky.
