British MP: Brexit going well

Britain's Member of Parliament Jacob Rees-Mogg said "Brexit is going well" in an interview with Sky News on Tuesday, underlining that the country was able to save £190 billion by not taking part in the European Union's COVID-19 "bailout."

The former business secretary and minister of state for Brexit opportunities and government efficiency reflected on International Monetary Fund's latest forecast, that predicted that Britain's economic growth will be the slowest among the Group of Seven (G7) economies, stressing that the fund's projection is likely to be incorrect.

In contrast to the Bank of England, which responded "far slower" than the American central bank, Rees-Mogg claimed that the United States Federal Reserve has a "higher chance" of reviving the economy more quickly. "We have the highest tax burden in 70 years, and that is not good for the economic growth," he stressed.
