Eurozone's GDP grows 0.1% in Q4
Gross domestic product (GDP) grew further during the fourth quarter in the Eurozone, the European Commission's Eurostat revealed in a preliminary report published on Tuesday. The data showed a modest increase of 0.1% across the euro area, and the figure remained stable in the bloc.
In comparison to the corresponding quarter the year before, the GDP rose by 1.9% in the Eurozone, and 1.8% in the bloc. The highest growth was recorded in Ireland with 3.5% followed by Latvia with 0.3%, while Portugal and Spain registering a 0.2% gain respectively.
On the other hand, the largest contraction of GDP was observed in Lithuania with 1.7%, as well as Austria and Sweden where the figure stood at negative 0.7% and 0.6% respectively.
