McDonald's posts revenue of $5.93 billion in Q4
McDonald's Corp. reported on Tuesday its revenue for the fourth quarter of 2022 came in higher than estimates at $5.93 billion. Operating income reached $2.58 billion compared to $2.39 billion in the same quarter last year. Yearly, operating income declined from $10.36 billion to $9.37 billion. Diluted earnings per share (EPS) stood at $2.59, an increase of 19%. On a yearly basis, however, diluted earnings per share (EPS) decreased to $8.33 from $10.04.
"Our Accelerating the Arches strategy is driving growth and building brand strength, delivering exceptional full-year performance in 2022 with over 10% comparable sales growth and 5% comparable guest count growth globally," said the company's President and CEO Chris Kempczinski.
McDonald's shares dropped 0.58% in premarket trading following the release of the quarterly results.
