Trump: Putin forced into war by Biden's statements
Former United States President Donald Trump said that Russian President Vladimir Putin did not want to start a war and that he was "sort of forced into" invading Ukraine by statements made by US President Joe Biden. He claimed the conflict "would have never started" under his leadership and that peace can be negotiated "within 24 hours."
Trump told RSBN there are "things you can say" to Putin and Biden "that would guarantee that this war would end immediately" but he declined to reveal what they are. He also alleged that "far more people are being killed [in Ukraine] than what they're talking about." Turning to support for Ukraine, he estimated the US has so far sent $107 billion worth of aid, while the European Union has pledged a "tiny fraction of that number" and said that the disparity is "not fair" to the US.
