US in red premarket after big tech results disappoint
Major stocks in the United States were in the negative territory during Friday's premarket session as the week filled with monetary policy decisions of central banks and earnings season draw to a close. Yesterday, big tech heavy-lifters Amazon, Apple, and Alphabet all reported financial results that came below expectations.
The Dow Jones fell by 0.27%, while the Nasdaq 100 lost 1.52% at 4:48 am ET. The S&P 500 simultaneously declined by 0.80%. The euro was flat against the dollar to sell for 1.09207 concurrently.
Amazon's shares plunged 5.41%, while Apple dipped 3.10% at 4:46 am ET. At the same time, Alphabet Class A and Class C stocks traded 4.31% and 4.60% lower, respectively.
