Norway to buy 54 German Leopard 2A7 tanks
Norwegian Armed Forces announced on Friday that Oslo decided to buy 54 new German Leopard 2A7 tanks and added it could opt to buy another 18.
Norway stressed that it expects the delivery of the tanks in 2026. "This will significantly strengthen the Norwegian Armed Forces and the @NorwegianArmy," the Norwegian Armed Forces stated in a tweet.
The announcement comes just over a week after Oslo said it will send Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine.
