Netanyahu: Iran's nuclear arms could change history

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Saturday that, if Iran obtained nuclear weapons, "we would all be held hostage to these fanatics. That's a danger, that could change history." He told France's TF1 Info that Tehran developing an atomic bomb is a "huge red line with an alarm attached to it" and that he agreed with French President Emmanuel Macron that Iran should be aware there would be a "very strong cost if they crossed the threshold."

Netanyahu said that his government has not yet decided whether to send weapons to Ukraine and that it will examine the issue from the point of view of Israel's national interest. He said that the Israeli and Russian air forces fly "within spitting distance" in Syria and that Israel is "not interested" in a military confrontation with Russia by taking a stronger stance on the war in Ukraine.
