Microsoft's surprise event to reportedly be about ChatGPT

Microsoft Corp.'s surprise event scheduled for February 7 is expected to be about the tech giant's partnership with OpenAI and the integration of the ChatGPT, an artificial intelligence chatbot, into the former's Bing search engine, the Verge reported on Monday.

The press conference will be held in person at the Redmond headquarters and will be taking place one day ahead of Alphabet Inc.'s Google LLC's own event on AI and search, planned for February 8.

Previously, Google unveiled its AI chatbot Bard in an attempt to answer the rivaling ChatGPT. According to Google, Bard "seeks to combine the breadth of the world's knowledge with the power, intelligence, and creativity of our large language models."
