All Quiet on the Western Front wins Best Film at 2023 BAFTAs
Netflix Inc.'s All Quiet on the Western Front won in the Best Film category, dominating the accolades at the 76th British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) on Sunday.
The movie's Edward Berger was pronounced the Best Director, and the war epic, which was adapted from Erich Maria Remarque's classic, also went on to secure awards for the Best Movie Not in the English Language, Adapted Screenplay, Original Score, Cinematography, and Sound.
James Cameron's Avatar: The Way of Water, distributed by Disney's 20th Century Studios, won the best Visual Effects, while The Banshees of Inisherin secured four awards, including Best Supporting Actress for Kerry Condon and Best Supporting Actor for Barry Keoghan. Austin Butler bagged the Best Leading Actor for Elvis, while Cate Blanchett received the Best Leading Actress for Tar.
