SK Signet inks €7.3M EV charger deal with UK
South Korean-based electric vehicle (EV) charger company, SK Signet Inc., announced on Monday it inked its first supply contract in Europe, receiving a 10 billion won (~€7.3 million) order from Britain.
"Europe, which is spearheading the global EV era, is a significant market for SK Signet, and we are committed to electrifying Europe while contributing to the global net zero efforts with our ultrafast EV chargers," SK Signet CEO Shin Jung-ho said. The company's V2 batteries enable EVs to charge from 20 to 80 percent in 18 minutes and drive up to 400 kilometers on a single charge.
The top EV charger producer in the United States has already set up an office in Germany and a service center in England to promote its "market expansion," while keeping an eye out for potential new commercial collaborations across Europe.
