Iran imposes retaliatory sanctions against EU, UK
Iran's Foreign Ministry announced on Tuesday it is introducing sanctions against 13 entities and 15 individuals from the European Union, as well as eight British individuals.
The ministry stated the measures are a response to the latest sanctions introduced by the EU and the United Kingdom against Tehran.
Iran added that the sanctions were imposed "for inciting and encouraging the support of terrorism and terrorist groups, supporting violence against the Iranian people, and interfering in the interior affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, promoting violence and unrest in Iran, spreading lies and promoting false information about Iran, as well as participating in the escalation of unjust sanctions against the Iranian people, which are considered economic terrorism."
