Russia's replacement spacecraft docks at ISS

Russian Soyuz replacement spacecraft on Sunday successfully docked at International Space Station (ISS) for its mission to bring back three stranded astronauts after micrometeoroid damaged the cosmonauts' shuttle two months ago leaving the cabin at temperatures considered unsafe to be used for the crew's return journey.

Russian cosmonauts Sergey Prokopyev and Dmitry Petelin, as well as NASA astronaut Frank Rubio are expected to return back to Earth on September 27 this year, with the total lenght of their expedition hitting 370 days, the longest one in the history of the ISS, according to Roscosmos.

"The scientific program will be continued. In April-May, there will be a spacewalk to equip the Nauka module," Roscosmos CEO Yuri Borisov said.
