Microsoft launches AI-powered business tool
Microsoft Corp. announced on Monday the launch of its Dynamics 365 Copilot, a tool for businesses powered by artificial intelligence. The company said the Copilot aims to automate "burdensome tasks like manual data entry, content generation and notetaking" in customer relationship management (CRM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP).
Microsoft said Copilot in Dynamics 365 Sales and Viva Sales will perform tasks such as automated emails and meeting summaries, while in Customer Service it will draft contextual answers to queries in both chat and email. The Customer Insights tool "can curate highly personalized and targeted customer segments by having a dialogue with their customer data platform using natural language," while in Marketing, Copilot will make marketing content suggestions "based on key topics entered by the marketer, the organization’s existing marketing emails, as well as from a range of internet sources to increase the relevance of generated ideas."
