China's industrial production up by 2.4% in 2023 so far
China's industrial production landed below analysts' projections, despite advancing 2.4% in the first two months of 2023 on a yearly basis, the country's National Bureau of Statistics revealed on Wednesday.
The figure marks an average two-month growth of 4.9% and it grew by 1.1 percentage points faster when compared to the yearly increase seen in December.
In the first two months, the state-holding enterprises added 2.7% year-on-year, with the share-holding and private enterprises advancing 4.3% and 2.0% respectively, while the enterprises funded by foreign investors or investors from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan increased by 5.2%.
