Microsoft pins license deal with Japan to stream Xbox games
Microsoft Corporation inked a 10-year license agreement with Japanese cloud gaming provider Ubitus that would allow users to stream Xbox computer games, including "Activision Blizzard titles" after the acquisition is completed, Gaming Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Phil Spencer tweeted on Wednesday.
"Our commitment is to give more players, more choice," he wrote.
The day earlier, the tech giant also unveiled decade-long deal with Boosteroid to bring Xbox PC games to the company's cloud gaming platform. "It [the agreement] also adds to our recent agreements with Nintendo and NVIDIA, making even more clear to regulators that our acquisition of Activision Blizzard will make 'Call of Duty' available on far more devices than before," Microsoft Vice Chair Brad Smith said.
