Microsoft set to announce GPT-4-powered Office 365 tools

Microsoft is expected to announce new Office 365 tools powered by OpenAI's GPT-4, The Information reported on Wednesday.

The suite powered by artificial intelligence is set to be unveiled on Thursday but the tech giant is reportedly "facing an internal shortage of the server hardware needed to run the AI," according to the report which cites the company's employees.

The sources noted the company is now rationing access to the hardware for some internal teams building other AI tools in order to make sure it has the capacity necessary to power the new Office 365 suite, as well as its search engine Bing's AI-powered chatbot.
