Putin hails relations between Russia and China
Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his confidence in the "high quality" of relations between Russia and China, stating that they surpass the military-political alliances of the Cold War.
In an article for the People's Daily newspaper, Putin wrote that Russian-Chinese relations have reached the highest level in their entire history and continue to grow stronger. "There is no leader and follower, there are no restrictions or forbidden topics," Putin stated, according to TASS.
The article was published a day before Chinese President Xi Jinping's state visit to Moscow.
