Twitter to start removing legacy verified badges
Twitter Inc. announced that it will begin winding down its legacy verified program and removing legacy verified checkmarks on April 1. Individuals can instead sign up for Twitter Blue, while organizations can get a Verified Organizations badge.
Twitter previously said that its Twitter Blue verification program is now available worldwide at a price of $8 a month. The company said perks include 50% fewer ads, the ability to post longer videos, and prioritized ranking in conversations, in addition to existing features such as the ability to edit tweets and upload higher-quality videos.
