Musk claims Microsoft has access to OpenAI codebase
Tesla Inc. and Twitter Inc. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Elon Musk claimed on Friday that Microsoft Corporation obtained "exclusive access to the entire OpenAI codebase" following its latest investment in the latter company.
Commenting on Twitter on his role in the development of OpenAi, Musk said that he "donated the first" $100 million to that enterprise "when it was a non-profit, but have no ownership or control. ... It somehow transitioned from an open source non-profit to a closed source for-profit."
"ChatGPT is entirely housed within Microsoft Azure. When push comes to shove, they have everything, including the model weights," he added in another tweet.
