Ten-year US Treasury yield at six-month low
The yields on the ten-year and the two-year United States Treasury notes dropped on Friday to the weakest level since mid-September 2022.
Fears about the state of the global banking sector reemerged as Deutsche Bank shares suffered losses following a jump in credit default swaps, which usually indicates that confidence in the bank is decreasing.
The return on the 10-year Treasury note declined 5.2 basis points to 3.352% at 10:50 am ET and the yield on the two-year note fell by 10.4 basis points to 3.702% a minute later. The return on the 30-year bond was down 3.8 basis points to 3.644% at 10:52 am ET.
