Tornado kills at least 26 in Mississippi, Alabama
At least 26 people died in a tornado that ripped through the southern United States, local authorities said on Saturday. 25 fatalities have been confirmed in Mississippi and one person died in Alabama.
According to preliminary data, the tornado covered a distance of at least 170 miles (274 km) and lasted for over an hour. Search and rescue operations continue and "dozens" have been reported as injured.
