Taiwan cuts ties with Honduras 'with regret'
Taiwanese Foreign Ministry said on Sunday that it is breaking diplomatic relations with Honduras "with deep regret" after Honduras announced it considers Taiwan an "inalienable part of the Chinese territory."
"82 years of friendship and cooperation bringing real benefit to the peoples were dismissed by the Castro government," the Taiwanese Foreign Ministry said, referring to Honduran President Xiomara Castro. "Taiwan remains unbowed and continues to work as a force for good in the world," the ministry added.
