India launches LVM3 rocket with 36 satellites
Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) successfully launched on Sunday its LVM3 rocket carrying 36 satellites owned by the British company OneWeb Network Access Associates Ltd. LVM3 has had six successive flights so far, the ISRO said.
The mission was the second part of a deal with OneWeb to take 72 of its satellites into space, after the first part was completed in October 2022. OneWeb has so far launched over 500 satellites into orbit and hopes its broadband internet network will be operational in the middle of 2023.
