Trump's lawyer says attacking Manhattan DA was 'ill-advised'
Former United States President Donald Trump's attorney, Joe Tacopina, acknowledged that the former head of state's social media posts attacking Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg ahead of his possible indictment were "ill-advised."
"I'm not a Trump PR person. I'm a litigator and a lawyer," Tacopina stressed in an interview with NBC on Sunday. "I think that was an ill-advised post that one of his social media people put up," the lawyer said, noting that he thinks the former president "quickly" took the post down once he realized the meaning behind it.
On Friday, Trump posted a stitch of two separate images that showed him holding a baseball bat in one picture and the Manhattan DA's head in the other. Many saw the move as a possible incitement of violence, as it came a week after the former leader revealed that he expects to be indicted over hush money allegedly paid in his name.
