German Leopards said to have arrived in Ukraine
The Leopard 2 tanks that the German government pledged to provide to Ukraine have been handed over to the Ukrainian military, according to a report published by der Spiegel magazine on Monday.
The report comes weeks after Defense Minister Boris Pistorius officially confirmed Berlin's decision to donate 18 Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine to boost its defenses against Russia's invasion.
Next to Leopards that Ukraine will receive from multiple European countries, the United States also vowed to deliver M1 Abrams tanks while the United Kingdom agreed to send its Challenger 2 tanks to Kiev as part of their military support.
