European gas prices jump on supply disruptions
Prices of European gas climbed on Monday as the ongoing protests in France threaten to further disrupt commodity supply nationwide as workers brace for another wave of demonstrations, particularly hitting the country's oil refineries and liquefied natural gas import terminals.
For April contracts, Dutch TTF natural gas rose 3.74% to sell at €42.63 per megawatt hour at 4:40 pm CET. UK natural gas futures jumped by 4.26% to 105.000 pence per therm at 4:33 pm CET.
