Manhattan grand jury probing Trump to adjourn for a month
The Manhattan grand jury examining Donald Trump's role in a hush money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels will adjourn for a month, Politico reported Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
According to one of the sources, the pause is due to a previously scheduled recess and will likely push any potential indictment against the former president into April or May. However, it is possible that the grand jury's schedule will change.
The Manhattan district attorney is studying whether former President Trump broke any laws when his organization paid Michael Cohen $130,000 for a payment to Daniels to keep her quiet about an alleged sexual encounter she claims to have had with Trump in 2006.
