Wall Street kicks off lower with labor market cooling

Major stock markets in the United States registered slight losses at the start of Wednesday's session as the latest jobs data from ADP and the Labor Statistics Bureau showed signs of labor market cooling. In business news, the shares of pharma giant Johnson & Johnson soared by 3.72% on the news the company will pay $8.9 billion to settle claims its talc products caused cancer.

The Dow Jones traded flat at the opening bell. The Nasdaq 100 fell by 0.37%, with Zscaler tumbling by 3.20%. The S&P 500 lost 0.18%, as Albemarle Corp. sank 4.41%.

The euro decreased by 0.10% to $1.09423 at 9:28 am ET.
