Nasdaq 100 tumbles over 1% with jobs data in focus

Major stock markets in the United States closed Wednesday's session in a mixed territory, with the Nasdaq 100 losing over 1% following the release of ADP's private payrolls data for March. Meanwhile, Johnson & Johnson's stock soared over 4% in response to the news the pharma giant will settle claims its talc products caused cancer.

The Nasdaq 100 plunged by 1.01% or 132 points at the closing bell led by Zscaler's 8.33% decline. The S&P 500 lost 0.25%, with MarketAxess Holdings diving 13.91%. On the other hand, the Dow Jones rose by 0.24% as J&J soared by 4.49%. The euro decreased by 0.47% to $1.09022 at 3:55 pm ET.
