Shanghai to boost cooperation with Tesla
Chen Kele, deputy director of the intelligent manufacturing promotion division at Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, shared on Friday during a press briefing that the municipality has plans to deepen cooperation with Tesla Inc.
With this cooperation, Shanghai aims to promote the functional sectors, including autonomous driving and robotics, while jointly creating a technology industrial cluster with core technological advantages for the global market, the official explained.
He emphasized that Tesla's gigafactory in Lingang Special Area, which became operational back in 2019, contributed to local industrial growth and the NEV ecosystem completion.
