Ukraine reportedly ready to launch counteroffensive

Ukraine is prepared to launch a counteroffensive against Russian forces, Oleksiy Danilov, the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, said in an interview with the BBC.

The official reportedly claimed that Kiev could attempt to reclaim territories occupied by Russia as soon as "tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, or in a week." He emphasized the importance of timing the start of its operation correctly without disclosing the exact date of the counteroffensive.

Danilov also expressed calmness regarding Russia's deployment of nuclear weapons to Belarus, noting that it was not surprising news to Ukraine. "To us, it's not some kind of news," he stated.
