MoD: Moscow, Beijing held joint air patrols in Asia-Pacific
Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Wednesday in a statement that Russian and Chinese air forces conducted joint patrols over the Asia-Pacific region, with the flight lasting for around eight hours.
"An air group consisting of Tu-95MS strategic missile carriers of the Russian Aerospace Forces and Hun-6k strategic bombers of the PLA Air Force carried out air patrols over the waters of the Sea of Japan, the East China Sea and the western part of the Pacific Ocean," the ministry explained.
The ministry shared that at certain points, Russian and Chinese strategic missile carriers were "escorted by foreign fighters." It further underlined that the patrols were carried out "strictly in accordance with international law."
